It’s soooo true that crocheters tend to use only cheap yarns because it takes so much more yarn to make a FO vs. what knitting uses. And sadly I think throughout history it seems that because knitting is more difficult than crochet, knitting has become a sort of prestige art and crochet has become kind of a peasant art. To this day I personally have noticed that if you tell some crafters that you crochet it’s always “oh.” but if I say I knit it mostly “WOW!! That’s so cool!” At least that’s what I personally noticed and mind you that’s not always the case but majority of the time it happens that way. Go figure!
