Another great episode guys. My favorite part is when you guys start laughing. You both have very infectious laughs!
Answer to the giveaway question: 100% cotton.
I remember this because I did not know about how the different fibers burned. I learned something!
Hi. I’m Joanna: long time listener, first time comment-maker. Mary and I were walking last week and I think she should yarn bomb the PARKING METERS! Art in the Square in the summer will be the perfect time to do that.
The giveaway question: Mary’s sweater was 100% cotton which turned out to be extremely flammable.
I’m really loving this podcast.
Answer: 100% Supremely Flammable Cotton
I keep looking at my cotton washcloths and hoping they don’t fall into any candles.
Looking forward to seeing this prize yarn. Highly flammable cotton would be the answer to the question. That was quite the story. Hooray for thick patterns.
It was 100% cotton on your Harmony Knitpicks eeep! In fact I’m pretty sure I saw you working on that sweater at the anniversary party, but I could be imagining that. I remember seeing you working on a little yellow sweater and I was thinking that I hadn’t worked on the one I’m making in a while and it inspired me to get back to it. However, I am known to have false memories lol.
I believe you said you used KP’s Shine, which is made up of 60% Pima Cotton and 40% Modal.
You used KP’s Shine for the burned sweater. I’m enjoying your podcast. Keep on having the conversation.
100% cotton! Highly flamable!

Yarn was cotton… I had totally forgotten it was flammable until I told my Fiance about your story… and he went “you’ve told me this before…”
Great Podcast! Keep it up!
Hi. You said the finer content was cotton and how different it was compared to wool. Like your podcast!
Firebug Devo says that the yarn was a beautiful yellow cotton.
I really enjoy your podcasts and wish there was a knitting/crocheting group near me. I only crochet but maybe Mary can teach this old dog how to knit someday!
Definitely 100% cotton. Because wool is a natural retardant. Love your podcast!
Just remembering that story pains my heart! But yes, it was cotton. A good lesson for all of us though. LOVE your podcast! Keep it coming!
It was cotton. Your pod cast are great to listen to as i knit.
60%Pima cotton and 40% modal(natural beach wood fiber
Love your podcast it is the only podcast i listen to. Thank you for sharing your fiber love with us.
So glad to have a new podcast to listen to. The answer is cotton.
I’m loving your podcast. You are so fun to listen to.
Your sweater that was flamable was made from 100% cotton
I think the sweater was cotton.
Hi! I’m a new listener who found your podcast through the Nalani Yarns group. I just listened to episode three, and you said the sweater was 100% cotton at the beginning of the story, but later say that it was Knitpicks Shine, which apparently is 60% cotton, 40% modal. I wouldn’t have noticed the difference if not for some of the previous comments.
As the daughter of a woodworker who also married a woodworker, I’m so glad to hear that your coffee table is OK. I have some pieces of my dad’s that I would be devastated to lose.
I love listening to your show. Can’t wait for the next one!
The sweater that burnt was made of 100% cotton yarn. Glad that everything else made is ok and no one was hurt.
100% cotton and very flammable
The poor sweater was Knit Picks Shine, which is cotton and modal. May it rest in peace… Love the podcast girls!
Another fabulous podcast girls, keep them coming.
Answer: 100% flammable cotton!
I guess I better be careful with my cotton fibers and flames!
It was cotton yarn. I still can’t believe it went up like that. Wow, Glad no one was hurt. I really enjoy listening to you guys. Thanks!
Your lovely little sweater was made of cotton yarn.
It’s cotton! Who would have thought! The yarn is really beautiful. Thank you for the great contest! As for yarn bombing, I don’t think I’d like to spend some of my knitting time for that
I also think that a city is better embellshed with cleanliness, trees and flowers. My opinion
Great gift to your principal and I hope you new “knitting student” will have her son back soon.
Cotton-highly flammable, never leave a doggy to play with yarn by an open candle, especially COTTON Sweater that you were almost done knitting-love your podcast and don’t miss one, invited so many friends to listen too
Cotton. Who knew it would burn so easily!?
I’m loving your podcast, I can’t wait for more episodes to come out!
The giveaway question answer is that the poor poor burnt up sweater was cotton. Thanks for offering this giveaway!

Hi Guys,
The answer is cotton, good old cotton.
At least it wasn’t acrylic or you’d have a big sticky melted mess to deal with
100% cotton….
I distinctly remember it was cotton, because you said you will definitely be knitting the new one in good old flame-resistant wool so as not to risk your kid going up in flames! Thankfully, everything was okay, so we can laugh about it now. Thanks for a great podcast – I am really enjoying it!
